What this role is
- Agency-captive, 1099 independent contractor (not W-2 employment)
- Commission-only compensation (no base salary) with competitive new/renewal splits
- Personal Lines focus (Homeowners HO3/HO6, Landlord DP3, Renters HO4, Auto, Umbrella)
What you’ll do
- Advise clients, pre-screen risks, and submit clean, complete applications
- Use our rater/CRM to quote, bind, and service policies
- Educate clients on coverages, deductibles, and carrier guidelines
- Build durable retention through proactive renewals and cross-sell
What we provide
- Phone line (agency number/softphone)
- Systems & software (EZLynx Rating, Better Agency CRM/AMS, e-signature, secure file intake)
- Onboarding & training (30/60/90 playbooks, SOPs, carrier appetite guides)
- Carrier/broker relationships, marketing templates, and compliance frameworks
What you need (equipment)
- Reliable computer (Windows/Mac), high-speed internet, and headset/webcam
- Printer/scanner (or high-quality scan app)
- Secure workspace (no public Wi-Fi; use strong passwords/2FA; follow our data- security SOPs)
Licensing & compliance (must-haves)
- Active resident Personal Lines (20-44) or General Lines (2-20) license if Florida-based;
non-Florida agents must hold active resident state license and obtain non- resident licenses for any additional states where you sell. - Ability to obtain/maintain carrier/agency appointments as required by state law(e.g., FL §626).
- Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance (minimum recommended limits:
$1,000,000/$1,000,000)—proof required. - Background check authorization and identity verification.
- Ongoing CE compliance and adherence to FCRA/TCPA/Do-Not-Call and privacy rules when obtaining consumer reports (e.g., CLUE/MVR) and contacting prospects.
- Strict observance of our confidentiality, agency-captive, and non-solicitation provision.
We are
licensed in all 50 states and accept applications nationwide. You may solicit/bind only in states where
you and
TruvaLink are both licensed/appointed.
Documents to include with your application
- Resume (with production history & references)
- Copy of active insurance license(s) (resident + any non-resident)
- E&O declarations page (showing limits & effective dates)
- W-9 (signed, current year)
- Government-issued ID (for background check)
- CE transcript (latest)
- States you intend to write in (list)
- Direct-deposit info (for commissions; you may redact account number until approval)
Compensation & expectations
- Commission-only; paid on carrier-approved, funded business (new/renewal)
- Performance measured on written premium, persistency/retention, documentation quality, and client experience (reviews/NPS)
- Must follow submission standards (complete apps, required photos/docs, accurate mortgagee information, etc.)
